Chuck Smith presents $1,000 Exxon donation
to Audubon's Terry Austin.

At the Annual Dredge Conference in Galveston on September 18th, Chuck Smith, Warden of Audubon bird sanctuary, Sundown Island, presented the $1,000 Exxon donation to Terry Austin, the director of Audubon Texas.

The source of the funding comes from the Exxon Annuitant Volunteer Program. Exxon will donate $500 to a charitable organization for each 20 hours that its employees or retirees donate to the organization. This donation was based on time worked by Chuck Smith and Johnny Miller, both Exxon retirees who regularly work on Sundown Island.
