			The first wave of volunteers arrive

Richard and Linda Stone help Petra Hockey clear two of the experimental plant plots.
	The Thursday before workday, Chester and Ed killed four large rattlesnakes...ugh! Petra found a rattler on workday too.
			More volunteers arrive.
			Petra Hockey gives the volunteers a brief history of Sundown Island before taking the volunteers on a bird walk.

Mostly juvenile Brown Pelicans.	It was really windy!	Evidence of lots of fresh water in the bay?	New sand on the north end of the island.	Conditions on the Island on Workday
			A low tide and the wind direction uncovered more sand on the North end of the island than I've ever seen before.
		Two new projects completed: a new nesting stand on the north end of the island, and a new pond, lined and ready for water.
